Biggs joined Bath from Newcastle |
Winger Tom Biggs says he has waited a long time for the chance to join a club like Bath. The former Newcastle and Leeds player told BBC Radio Bristol: "Bath is such a famous rugby club and it's a key part of the community. "I've waited a long time for an opportunity like this. I'm excited and can't wait to pull the shirt on in a home game. "It will be nice to have 12,000 people on your side." Along with the rest of the Bath squad, Biggs is currently engaged in a tough pre-season programme, counting down to the opening game of the Premiership season, away to Leeds on 5 September. "They had a fantastic second half of the season and now we're hoping to hit the ground running and really push for the title," added the 25-year-old, who signed a three-year deal at The Rec after leaving Newcastle. "I'm confident in my ability and I'm just looking forward to the start of the season and being able to show what I can do. "There's going to be competition, there is already and that brings out the best in everyone."
