Meehan knows the importance of a win at the weekend |
Coach Steve Meehan feels Bath must beat Glasgow Warriors on Sunday to keep their hopes alive in the Heineken Cup. "To keep nipping away at Toulouse's heels and to try and force the last match to be the decider we must do well next week," he told BBC Radio Bristol. "We know that if we can shore things up and be more of a defensive unit then we have a really good chance of winning that game." Bath are second in their group, three points behind French side Toulouse. Meehan was angry with his side's defensive effort after they edged past Glasgow 35-31 in a thrilling game at the Rec last weekend, saying after the game that "holes opened up in our defence because guys were lazy". And he says his players have plenty to work ahead of the return fixture against the Scottish side. "From an attacking point of view we can take two or three clips and show the players what worked well for us and why it worked well and build on that," he said.
