Bath have signed second-row forward Scott Hobson from the Cornish Pirates.

The 20-year-old was a member of the England Under-20s Six Nations squad and played in all of their games in the Grand Slam-winning campaign.

Hobson has played in over 20 games for the Cornish Pirates in the last two seasons in National Division One.

The Cornish lock said: "It is a great opportunity for me to further my career by moving to a Premiership club, I am looking forward to the move."

Bath's academy manager Frank Butler said: "Having known Scott from a young age I have followed his career with interest and watched him develop playing for the Cornish Pirates.

"I now feel it is time for him to move up a level and develop further at a Premiership club during an exciting time for Bath Rugby."
