Guy Easterby has put Ben Prescott straight into his squad to face Glasgow

Leinster have bolstered their squad ahead of Friday's Magners League opener at Glasgow by signing prop Ben Prescott from Nottingham on a one-year deal.

The 32-year-old makes the move to Ireland three months after joining Nottingham from Rotherham.

Prescott, who will provide cover for the injured Stan Wright, could make his debut against former club Glasgow.

"His experience and ability will be a welcome addition to the panel," said Leinster manager Guy Easterby.

Wright is ruled out for around six months because of an Achilles injury.

"We are pleased to complete a deal for Ben and he will add further competition to the pack, especially in light of the unfortunate long-term injury to Stan Wright," Easterby told the Leinster website.
