George has hung up her boots |
Paula George helped England beat Scotland 22-10 at Twickenham on Saturday in her last international. Leading 15-3 just after half time and looking comfortable, England let Scotland back into the game.
But a Jo Yapp try in the 71st minute sealed the win after tries from Karen Andrew and two for Kim Shaylor.
Head coach Geoff Richards said: "Paula George has been a great asset to English rugby and she goes out on a high, playing another great game."
And Richards paid tribute to George's contribution as a role model and top professional.
He added: "She has been a great asset to English rugby and a fantastic servant and ambassador for not just Women's Rugby, but Women's Sport."
