Scots want Lions game
Murrayfield Stadium
Murrayfield hopes to host the British and Irish Lions
Murrayfield is in the running to host the British and Irish Lions next year.

A warm-up fixture is planned against France before the Lions begin their tour of New Zealand and Scottish chiefs want the Edinburgh stadium to stage it.

"This is exactly the type of fixture we would be interested in bringing to Scotland and a bid will be submitted," confirmed SRU acting chief executive David Mackay.

England coach Sir Clive Woodward will lead the Lions in 2005.
