All the action as Gloucester defeat London Irish to win the European Challenge Cup final at Twickenham Stoop.
EXTRA TIME SECOND HALF:
100 mins: The whistle finally goes and the celebrations begin in earnest for Gloucester. As their players leap all over each other in celebration, London Irish's players collapse to the turf with a mixture of disappointment and exhaustion. A cracking end to the season for both teams.
99 mins: London Irish are trying absolutely everything now in a bid to set up a late drop goal attempt for Everitt. For now, though, they're still just too far away.
98 mins: Gloucester fans start to celebrate after their players are awarded a scrum for a late knock-on from the Exiles. There's still time for this captivating game to be turned on its head once more.
97 mins: It's a free for all with drop goals now. Leguizamon has a stab but it barely even makes it off the ground.
96 mins: Gloucester are penalised for coming in on the side. It's a hard kick from way out on the left side but Everitt confidently calls for the kicking tee. His confidence sadly isn't enough and he misses out.
94 mins: Everitt goes for a drop goal. The Irish fans like it but it gets drag wide by the wind just before the uprights.
93 mins: The Cherry and Whites are like a different side in this half now. This time, Richards breaks along with Anthony Allen, both comfortably picking holes in the opposition defence.
91 mins: TRY Gloucester 36-34 London Irish
Gloucester's fans come to life after a great solo effort from James Forrester. He kicks the ball along the ground and then just grounds it before flying over the dead-ball line. Mercier just misses out with the conversion.
91 mins: Both sides look absolutely shattered, with many of the players receiving treatment for cramp in the brief gap between the two halves of extra time. Everitt then gets things going again.
EXTRA TIME FIRST HALF:
90 mins: The whistle goes for the end of the first half of extra time, much to London Irish's relief after a sparky break from Simpson-Daniel and a few of his team-mates.
89 mins: It's not going Gloucester's way as Mercier kicks off straight into touch. He looks livid with himself...and rightfully so.
88 mins: PENALTY Gloucester 31-34 London Irish
London Irish win a penalty after Gloucester are penalised for diving over the ball. It seems a harsh decision, even more so when Everitt adds three points.
86 mins: Gloucester just can't get the ball out of their own 22 at the moment. Ojo's the latest man to trouble them and Foster the latest to boot away the danger.
84 mins: Gloucester survive the onslaught...for now. They win a scrum and celebrate like they've scored a try such is the relief.
83 mins: The referee announces it's uncontested scrums for the remainder of the match because of injuries to London Irish's forwards. What follows is some immense pressure on Gloucester's defence as the attacks continue unabated.
82 mins: Richards is forced over the try line with the ball in hand after a Catt kick. He reacts angrily when he gets a knee in the back from Tiesi. A mini-fracas then ensues but the referee quickly calms it down.
81 mins: Play resumes. We have two halves of 10 minutes coming up now. If the scores are level after that, the team with the most tries - they've both scored three - wins. If that fails to pick out a winner, there is a place kicking competition to decide the new European Challenge Cup champions.
80 mins: Richards goes for a drop goal from way out. It's not a great attempt but you can't really blame him for trying. Seconds later the whistle goes for full-time. Extra time will follow...
78 mins: TRY Gloucester 31-31 London Irish
London Irish are certain they've scored after their latest forward move. Once again the referee is not sure so he calls to the video referee. The try is awarded to Robbie Russell after consultation. Remarkably Everitt choses the moment to miss his first kick of the afternoon. Gloucester fans are delighted by the reprieve.
77 mins: There's bodies strewn all over the place as the Exiles pack repeatedly pick up and drive. It remains to be seen whether this sustained pressure will take hold.
75 mins: Again the attacks charge in on Gloucester's defenders. They are resolute for now but the pressure mounts as Everitt has a penalty. He goes for a line-out again. Cue countless Irish forward moves.
73 mins: TRY Gloucester 31-26 London Irish
Finally Irish's perserverance pays off when replacement Magne is the lucky recipient of the ball as they force their way over the line to score. Everitt adds another two points to set up a potentially thrilling finale.
71 mins: London Irish believe they have grounded it after what seems like their 30th forward drive in the last few minutes. It's too hard a decision for the referee to make so he sends it to the video referee. He duly rejects Irish's pleas, although there's some consolation in that they win a penalty.
69 mins: It's like a barrage of battering rams as Irish launch attack after attack in their forward pack. There's desperate grappling from Gloucester.
67 mins: The referee plays advantage for a couple of minutes. But when London Irish fail to gain any advantage, they get a penalty. Everitt shuns the three points and goes for an attacking line-out instead.
64 mins: TRY Gloucester 31-19 London Irish
Simpson-Daniel smiles all the way to the line after intercepting a dire Bob Casey pass to charge half the field and score. Mercier's conversion could well put London Irish out of contention.
62 mins: Gloucester set up a tasty little break but Foster flings the ball into touch and fails to find the fast-approaching Thirlby much nearer to him.
60 mins: PENALTY Gloucester 24-19 London Irish
Tagicakibau ridiculously opts to break from his own 22. He is predictably dumped, fails to release the ball and concedes a penalty, which Mercier slots over.
58 mins: PENALTY Gloucester 21-19 London Irish
Tindall is deemed offside and Everitt opts for the kick at goal. He maintains his 100% record. Meanwhile, Richard Skuse is replaced by Michael Collins.
56 mins: Armitage delays his pass just a tad too long to Ojo, who is subsequently dumped by Thirlby - a try-saving tackle. Great defending by Gloucester.
55 mins: Everitt goes for another crossfield kick. It's beautifully weighted but Thirlby this time gathers it over his try line while calling the mark. He then chips and chases but really rather woefully.
52 mins: PENALTY Gloucester 21-16 London Irish
Gloucester are making the most of the one-man advantage (see 48 mins) with a string of attacks. Simpson-Daniel darts and jinks his way into Irish territory, before Richards takes up the onslaught. They win a penalty for their efforts, and Mercier adds the three points.
50 mins: Mercier puts the pressure on London Irish's line-out with a kick towards the corner.
48 mins: Leguizamon is sent to the sin bin for 10 minutes after poleaxing Richards having not even made an attempt to go back 10 yards for the penalty called.
47 mins: Lamb produces a tidy chip and chase but is absolutely slammed to the turf by Hodgson in the tackle. He takes a while to come to his feet and when he does, with a bleeding lower lip, he is replaced by Ludovic Mercier.
46 mins: Lamb and Tindall nicely combine for a crossfield kick and catch. Sadly for Gloucester, Armitage robs them of possession in the resulting ruck.
44 mins: DROP GOAL Gloucester 18-16 London Irish
Everitt snaps over a timely drop goal seemingly from nowhere. It's just what Irish needed early in the half.
43 mins: Magne breaks with venom and then off-loads to Flutey delightfully. The centre breaks but is just felled en route to the line. He still earns a scrum for his efforts.
41 mins: There's 30 very focused faces out there as Everitt gets proceedings going once more. Almost immediately a poor mix-up in defence between Foster and Thirlby gives Irish a great line-out opportunity.
HALF-TIME
40 mins: After a mixture of kicking yo-yo and attacks from both sides - courtesy of Lamb and Flutey - the whistle goes for half-time at the Twickenham Stoop.
37 mins: There's the first real aggro of the afternoon as Lamb and Leguizamon have a slight bust-up. It couldn't be more of a mismatch between the bulky forward and the slight number 10. The referee quickly blows up for it and has a word with Lamb.
35 mins: The slick passing that has been a trademark of London Irish's this season comes to the fore as Catt, Armitage and Ojo are among those linking nicely together on the break.
33 mins: PENALTY Gloucester 18-13 London Irish
Lamb kicks Gloucester into a five-point lead. He strikes it deftly and it sails high and straight through the uprights.
30 mins: TRY Gloucester 15-11 London Irish
London Irish are very much back in the hunt when Armitage outleaps his opposite numbers over the try line to touch down. Everitt produces a horrible high crossfield kick. It bounces out of the hands of Thirlby and into those of Armitage. Everitt gets the two points.
28 mins: TRY Gloucester 15-6 London Irish
It's try number two for Gloucester, and this time Andy Hazell. His fellow forwards put on a massive drive from an attacking line-out and Hazell is the grateful recipient as they trundle forward.
26 mins: Lamb unleashes a monstrous boot down the length of the field. Catt gathers it only to bundled into touch by the fast-approaching James Simpson-Daniel.
24 mins: Irish scupper a great penalty chance. They opt for a line-out rather than the spot kick but then knock on the resulting throw.
22 mins: There's a scary few moments for Gloucester's defenders when an Olivier Magne kick ahead hits the Cherry and Whites' post and bounces away awkwardly. Mike Tindall manages to ground it in the resulting melee but Irish win a scrum for an earlier Peter Richards knock-on.
20 mins: It's electric end-to-end stuff. First Everitt takes a harsh blow to the face, for which he is still receiving treatment. Then Leguizamon gathers his fly-half's kick and does a tasty little chip of his own. As if that wasn't enough, then Ojo starts a charge of his own.
17 mins: Everitt screams and shouts instructions at his team-mates as he launches another attack with an almighty boot upfield. It comes to nought, though, when Gloucester win the resulting line-out and clear into the Exiles' half.
14 mins: PENALTY Gloucester 10-6 London Irish
Kieran Roche concedes a penalty after a late tackle. It's a slightly harsh decision and even harsher when Lamb kicks another three points.
12 mins: TRY Gloucester 7-6 London Irish
Mark Foster dives onto the ball for the first try of the game to bring Gloucester right back into things. He benefits from an initial grubber kick by Mike Tindall, evades his tackler and scores. Lamb adds the conversion.
10 mins: There's massive roars from the crowd when Delon Armitage intercepts a Gloucester pass to break clear for a certain try. Correctly, though, referee Nigel Whitehouse calls him back for a knock-on.
9 mins: PENALTY Gloucester 0-6 London Irish
Anthony Allen is penalised from encroaching offside and Everitt makes him pay with another three-pointer.
6 mins: London Irish's hearts skip a beat or two when the ball spills out of a ruck and Lamb kicks the ball forward. He lets out a sigh as the ball goes into touch and his hopes of an attack are dashed.
4 mins: PENALTY Gloucester 0-3 London Irish
Barry Everitt, playing his first match since January, gets off to the perfect start with a simple penalty. Over it sails and London Irish take the lead.
2 mins: Mike Catt opens a gap for the first real attack of the afternoon. He pops it out to Sailosi Tagicakibau, who hops and skips through a few tackles before finally being felled.
1216: Ryan Lamb gets proceedings under way with a deep kick to Juan Leguizamon. The versatile back-row forward hoofs it clear.
1213: Both teams sprint out to rapturous applause before gathering in two separate huddles for a final team talk in the wet conditions.
1210: The atmosphere is building at the Twickenham Stoop as the crowd await the arrival of the two teams.
