Gloucester's Duncan McRae will be out for several weeks because of the neck injury he sustained in the Heineken Cup win against Ulster on Saturday. An MRI scan has revealed that the 30-year-old fly-half has not sustained any long-term damage.
Gloucester doctor Rob Mackay said: "There is no problem involving the spinal cord or nerve structure, which is positive news."
Mackay added that McRae will be out for "a matter of weeks rather than months."
