Reggie Corrigan faces a fitness race to ready for Leinster's Heineken Cup quarter-final tie against Biarritz at Lansdowne Road on 11 April.

The Ireland prop will have a plaster removed from his broken wrist this week, and Leinster coach Matt Williams still holds out hope that his captain will be ready.

Williams, though, is more otpimistic about Shane Horgan.

The Ireland wing/centre has not played since pulling a thigh muscle in February's game against Scotland.

However, Williams is encouraged by Horgan's progress in training.

Corrigan and Horgan are the only doubts for Williams who was told that Brian O'Driscoll will be ready for the tie against the French champions.

The Irish captain suffered a dead leg following England's Gram Slam thumping last Sunday, but swelling and pain have subsided considerably.

Leinster have so far sold 43,000 tickets for the tie following their decision to move from their traditional home at Donnybrook to the international stadium.

Training session

Meanwhile, apart from flanker David Wallace, Munster coach Alan Gaffney will have a full squad available for the tie against Leicester Tigers at Welford Road on 13 April.

Wallace suffered a reaction following a pre-season shoulder operation and will not be back in action for another couple of weeks.

Munster will play a full-strength Connacht side in a warm-up game this Friday evening (1830BST).

Leinster welcome Ulster to Lansdowne Road, but they have emphasised that it will amount to no more than a contested practise on Friday.

Ulster coach Alan Solomons is bringing 28 players down to Dublin for the session.
