Worcester set up a Championship play-off semi-final clash with Bedford after crushing Bristol at Sixways.

Richard Hill's men led 27-13 at half-time, thanks to a penalty try and one each for Marcel Garvey and Aleki Lutui.

But, against Hill's old club, the hosts ran riot after the break with eight tries to pile up 54 unanswered points.

Miles Benjamin grabbed two, backed by another penalty try, as well as efforts for Adam Black, Greg Rawlinson, Dale Rasmussen, Jake Abbott and Tom Arscott.

Rawlinson's effort marked his 100th Warriors appearance and the result was Bristol's heaviest defeat in their 123-year history.

Garvey opened the scoring after eight minutes, Goode converting before Mark Davies kicked two penalties to pull it back to 7-6.

Worcester then started to gain momentum and a penalty try converted by Goode, followed by Lutui's score gave them a comfortable lead, although Bristol's Mitch Eadie went over to reduce the deficit.

But, after the break, rampant Worcester plundered eight more tries.

Four were converted by Goode and three by Joe Carlisle, as Hill racked up a fourth win of the season over his old side.

Worcester are already due to face Championship play-off semi-final opponents Bedford at Goldington Road next Saturday in the British & Irish Cup semi-final (23 April, 1500 BST).
