Crooks' side picked up their eighth bonus point on Saturday
Cambridge director of rugby Bob Crooks says his side are making progress game by game in National One this season.
Crooks' men bounced back from last week's defeat by London Scottish to overturn Rosslyn Park on Saturday.
He told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "The players had to improve from last week with their game management and for the most part they did.
"We're starting to learn that mistakes are not an issue - just get on with it and persevere and keep playing."
Cambridge had to show battling attributes after throwing away a 19-point lead to the south London side, only to clinch the tie with a late Ben Spencer penalty.
"For such a young side to have that character shows a bit of belief, not only in their team-mates, but in the club as a whole," added Crooks.
"We didn't start the second half very well. But we finished the game and we won, got four tries, got the bonus point - that's all that matters for us."
Cambridge, who remain second in the table, five points adrift of leaders Barking, will travel to Redruth this weekend after playing the Cambridge University side in a friendly on Wednesday night.
