McGinty played four times for the GB Rugby League side. |
Worcester Warriors are expected to make further changes to their coaching team after confirming Backs and Defence Coach Billy McGinty had left Sixways. Former rugby league international McGinty joined the club when they won promotion to the Premiership in 2004. His departure has increased speculation that former Leeds and Scarlets head coach Phil Davies could soon be joining new head coach Richard Hill at Sixways. Davies is currently coaching the Welsh Under-20 squad. In a statement on the club website, McGinty was quoted as saying he left the club with 'many fond memories'. The statement continued: "I will continue to follow the club's fortunes closely as I have made a number of good friends. I wish Richard Hill and his team all the very best for the future." Warriors have also confirmed they will travel to Wales to face Scarlets for a pre-season fixture on Saturday August 21 (1500 BST).
