Blackheath's disappointing start to the season continued as they suffered their fourth consecutive defeat in National One on Saturday. Despite an improved performance that yielded a first bonus point, they still lost 17-13 at Otley. Canterbury are up to second in National Two South after a 42-15 win at home to Bristol-based Dings Crusaders. But Westcombe Park lost 29-21 at Shelford. Their second successive defeat means they slip a place to eighth.
