Tynedale 35-24 Redruth

Emyr Lewis
Emyr Lewis' try gave Redruth a half-time lead at Tynedale

Redruth's dreams of becoming the first side to win a league game at Tynedale in two years were dashed in the final moments as they went down 35-24.

The home side trailed 24-21 with three minutes to go, before captain Jamie Murray and on-loan Newcastle second row Eni Gesinde both scored tries.

Redruth had earlier came back from 10-0 down to lead 14-13 at the break through a penalty try and an Emyr Lewis score.

Luke Collins' try gave the Reds a 24-16 lead before Tynedale came roaring back.

The defeat, coupled with a bonus point win for Birmingham and Solihull at Cinderford means Redruth drop off the top of National League Two.
