Mounts Bay's hopes of National Two survival took an almost fatal blow as they were soundly beaten by Westcombe Park at the Mennaye Field on Saturday. Park took a 14-6 half-time lead through two Tyrone Childs tries. Bay were within seven points of their opponents early in the second half as Richard Bright's try and Dan Hawkes' penalty made it 21-14. But a third try for Childs and scores for Richard Lancashire and Lee Campion ensured a big win for the visitors.
Mounts Bay head coach Adrian Bick told BBC Radio Cornwall: "The cold facts are that we probably are relegated now. "The boys are particularly down at the moment. "Last week was a complete and utter trouncing, but this week is equally as bad as this was a side we could, and should, have beaten."
