Former England full-back and Bristol assistant coach Paul Hull has been named England Saxons assistant coach. The 40-year-old, who won four England caps in 1994, will take up his post ahead of the match against Portugal at Edgeley Park on 30 January. Saxons head coach Stuart Lancaster said: "As well as a proven track record in nurturing young talent, Paul's got plenty of Premiership experience. Hull, who enjoyed a 12-year playing career with Bristol, spent two years as London Irish assistant coach before returning to the Memorial Ground in 2005 to take up his current position. "I'm really looking forward to the opportunity to work with the next generation of England players as well as the chance to renew my relationship with Stuart Lancaster," said Hull. "Stuart and I were both involved in the academy system when it was first launched by England. He was with Leeds when I was with Bristol and we've come to know each other quite well over the past few years." The revised 32-man England Saxons elite squad will be announced on 14 January.
