Bristol assistant coach Paul Hull is pleased to have his future settled, after extending his contract to stay with the club until 2011.

"I've had four years in the academy at Bristol, and now it's my fifth season in the Premiership," he told BBC Radio Bristol.

"It's really nice to consolidate all that and have my future with Bristol."

Bristol have become renowned for their mean defence during his time at the Memorial Ground.

Head coach Richard Hill told the club's website: "He has been a huge part of what we've achieved in the past three seasons."

"His work behind the scenes contributes massively to our success on the pitch - he is becoming an outstanding coach."

Hill added: "He brought in a new defensive system which has been a huge success and we are seeing the results of the work he has been doing to increase our attacking potency."
