Leicester Tigers winger Tom Varndell is hoping to see a bit more ball in Saturday's EDF Energy Cup final. Varndell, who scored two tries in last year's final, is looking forward to going back to Twickenham for the Tigers' re-match against Ospreys. But, although he is the Tigers' top try scorer this season with 12, he has been frustrated by lack of scoring chances. "I wish I was getting more ball," said Varndell. "It's not for want of trying, just the way the games have gone." The England winger also wants to make an impression on the big stage on Saturday to try and force his way back into the England squad - but his first priority is helping his team retain their crown. "Playing for England again, I'd love to do that," he told BBC Radio Leicester. "But my aim is to get a victory for the Tigers this weekend and take it from there." | Just give me a bit more ball in hand and give me the opportunity |
The Twickenham crowd is expected to exceed 60,000. More than 58,000 tickets have already been sold for what the re-run of last year's final when the Tigers survived a second-half Welsh fightback to eventually win 41-35.
