Former England skipper Lawrence Dallaglio has signed a two-year extension to his contract with Wasps. The 33-year-old made his Wasps debut in 1993 and has played his entire career at the London club, making 285 appearances and scoring 238 points.
"I'm delighted to have re-signed for the club, which means in effect that I'll finish my playing career where I started, at Wasps," he said.
Coach Ian McGeechan added: "Lawrence is one of the giants of the world game."
The number eight has led Wasps to unprecedented success over the last few years, guiding them to three straight Premiership titles as well as the Heineken Cup in 2004.
"The last three years in particular have gone very well for everyone at the club," he added. "Over the next two years we will continue to drive the club forward with the aim of maintaining that level of success.
"When a player thinks about re-signing, a number of factors come into consideration.
"There is, of course, a financial element, but more important are family priorities and the consideration of where, as a player, you can gain the opportunity to play the best rugby.
"This club has always been about offering players the possibility of playing the best rugby they can, maximising their potential and opportunities.
"Therefore, I'm very happy to be continuing my long and proud association with London Wasps."
Dallaglio won the World Cup with England in 2003 and although he announced his international retirement in 2004, he made a return in this year's Six Nations.
"We are, of course, delighted that he is remaining with us for a further two years," McGeechan added.
"He has proved himself an inspirational leader at Wasps over a long period of time, and combined that with exceptional professionalism in his approach and preparation as a player."
