Jonny O'Connor and George Skivington have also agreed new contracts, with Lewsey's two-year deal set to take him to 10 years with the club.

Wasps' director of rugby Ian McGeechan said: "This is really positive news."

Lewsey added: "I wanted to be part of a team that can be potentially the most successful team in English history."

The full-back, 28, has made 177 appearances for the club since making his debut in 1999, and he said: "I'm at a club that play challenging and enjoyable rugby.

Worsley, O'Connor and Skivington have also put pen-to-paper on two-year contracts, while Van Gisbergen has signed a three-year deal.
