Gloucester skipper Adam Balding has signed a new two-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2008. The 27-year-old number eight, who signed from Leicester in 2004, has joined Olly Morgan, Mark Foster and Nick Wood in finalising new deals.
"I am so glad I have the chance to play my part in Gloucester's future for another two years," he said.
"My ambition is to push myself even harder and to play a big part in the team during 2006."
The England A international made an immediate impact in his first season for Gloucester and was appointed captain last summer.
However he fractured his cheekbone in the opening game of the season against Worcester and returned to action in November.
