Balding will be out for about eight weeks with a fractured cheekbone |
Gloucester skipper Adam Balding will have surgery this week on the cheek bone he fractured against Worcester Warriors on Sunday. The number eight is expected to be out for eight weeks after sustaining three fractures in a collision with Worcester's Drew Hickey.
Balding hopes to resume running and weight training in only two weeks.
"These things happen for a reason. I will stay positive and aim to come back fitter and stronger," he said.
