Dunne to move from Quins to Bath
Andy Dunne
Foot problems ruled out Dunne for much of Quins' relegation season
Harlequins fly-half Andy Dunne has agreed to join Bath in a two-year deal.

The 25-year-old former Ireland under-21 international made 56 appearances in two years at Quins, but was hampered by injury as the club suffered relegation.

"Andy is an extremely useful footballer who is able to run a game well and is also a quality place kicker," said Bath director of rugby Jack Rowell.

Dunne, who faces competition from Olly Barkley and Chris Malone at fly-half, said: "I hope to make an impact."

Ryan Davis is another player vying for the number 10 jersey at Bath, and Dunne added: "The rivalry to get in the team will be fierce.

"However, the club brought me in to provide competition at fly-half and I feel that it can only be a positive factor for both me and for the club."

Rowell is convinced that Dunne will prove a useful acquisition and believes he may be able to dislodge current incumbent Malone from the fly-half role.

"He joins us as experienced cover in a pivotal position," said Rowell.

"However, Andy is an ambitious player and will be looking to establish himself as a first-choice number 10 at the club."
