Gomarsall has "one of the best passes in rugby" according to Andy Keast |
Worcester Warriors have signed England scrum-half Andy Gomarsall from Gloucester on a three-year deal. Gomarsall, 30, will form an experienced half-back partnership with Australian fly-half Shane Drahm, who has agreed to join Worcester from Northampton.
Gomarsall was frozen out at Gloucester after talks over a new deal stalled.
Worcester director of rugby John Brain said: "We regard this as a key signing in our plans to be a major player on the English and European stage."
Head coach Andy Keast said: "Andy has good experience and will be a big influence to the squad.
"He has one of the best passes in world rugby and this will help in the development of our game."
Gomarsall has won 23 England caps and still harbours international ambitions despite falling behind Matt Dawson and Harry Ellis in the pecking order.
