Corry is likely to be part of Andy Robinson's England plans |
Leicester forward Martin Corry has received a two-week ban from the Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel for stamping in a match against Bath. The suspension runs from 20 October to 2 November and leaves him with enough time to join the England camp for their first autumn Test against Canada.
Another Leicester player, George Chuter, earned a six-week for stamping in the same match at Welford Road.
Unlike his team-mate Corry, he had pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The panel, chaired by Richard Moon of Cambridge University, considered both men's actions to be reckless rather than intentional.
Chuter's suspension will run from 20 October to 30 November. The 28-year-old was also ordered to pay 250 costs, the same sum that Corry must pay.
Chuter had already been cleared earlier this month on allegations of striking.
