Hill has already had talks with players for next season. |
Worcester Warriors will be looking to bring in players in the summer, but they may not be big name signings, head coach Richard Hill has said. He says many of the current squad will be kept at Sixways, whether or not they win promotion to the Premiership. "I'm happy with the core of this squad, but it is always good just to freshen things up a bit," he told BBC Hereford and Worcester. "If this squad continues to work hard, I feel it will only get better." And he added: "If teams work for each other, the sum of the parts is better than a few flashy individuals. | Worcester are going to be a big club at some stage, sooner rather than later |
"Worcester have gone down that path before. They've had the likes of Rico Gear and Chris Latham, but they were relegated. "Just getting a star in doesn't guarantee you success - you have to work hard as a group, and the Worcester fans know this." Hill says he feels Worcester is not a hard club to sell to prospective signings. "I've had a good reaction from agents and players - the facilities here at Worcester are a strong selling point," he said. "People understand the ambition and the budget of the club. "When you bring someone in here, then straight away they can see the ambitions and the plans. "Worcester are going to be a big club at some stage, sooner rather than later." Meanwhile Hill will recall Joe Carlisle, Tom Arscott and Dale Rasmussen to the starting line up for the British and Irish Cup home game against Plymouth Albion on Saturday 22 January, 1500 GMT. Warriors centre Alex Grove has been included in the Scotland squad for the 2011 RBS Six Nations Championship.
