Thrower scored a hat-trick in his last Blues outing |
Bedford Blues wing Edd Thrower has warned Championship leaders Worcester that promotion is far from won. The Warriors are one of only two sides to beat the Blues this season and there is just six points between the teams. Thrower, 28, told BBC Three Counties Radio: "I think at the end of the season it could be interesting, we should have beaten them at home. "So when we go there we should have nothing to fear, they've got everything to lose, we've got nothing to lose." Just like Worcester, Thrower has plenty of Premiership experience, featuring for London Irish, Wasps and Saracens. The former England Under-21 player, who bagged a hat-trick of tries in last week's defeat of Rotherham, sees enough quality in the Blues squad to win promotion. | We've just got to go there, play our game, not worry about what they do and hopefully get another win Bedford wing Edd Thrower on Esher |
He said: "There's a few good boys here. There's some skill here, especially the young boys like Chudders (Will Chudley), Daryl (Veenedaal) - we call him superstar, he's a good little boy." Mike Rayer's men have won their last four games on the bounce ahead of the weekend's trip to south London to face Esher, who sit one from bottom in the table. "They've beaten London Welsh at home so they're going to be no pushovers, we've got to expect a hard game," Thrower said. "We've just got to go there, play our game, not worry about what they do and hopefully get another win." Bedford starting line-up to face Esher on Saturday: 15. Brendan Burke 14. Handre Schmidt 13.
