Macclesfield cruised past an uninspired Launceston as they ran in five tries to claim a bonus-point victory.

Richard Hughes [2], Matt Owen and Matt Simpson [2] were the try scorers for Macclesfield with Tom Eaton adding the extras with the boot.

Launceston managed a consolation touchdown through Tom Rawlings.

The match was brought to a premature end on 76 minutes after Launceston prop Jack Andrews was injured, however the result still stands.

The coaches of both teams agreed that it was fair the result would stand despite the match being four minutes short of its conclusion.

The defeat leaves the Cornish club at the foot of National One, 11 points behind second-from-bottom Redruth.
