Luctonians feel Hull Ionians will be toughest test yet

Luctonians have made an encouraging start in National Two North

Luctonians general manager Simon Green-Price believes the trip to Hull Ionians will be a major test of their quality.

So far this season Luctionians have registered four wins from five games in National Two North and this weekend face a side eight points below them.

He told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "The question now is how we fare against the sides at the top of the table.

"They have had some decent results including a couple of big wins against Manchester and Rugby Lions."

Green-Price added: "We've got the third-best defence in the league and when they come up against that will they have the mettle to get through it."

Hull Ionians are three places and eight points below Lucs in the table but did crush Rugby Lions 68-20 in their last game.

"Obviously the next test is how we fare when we go to the other half of Hull bearing in mind we have a four-hour journey up there," said Green-Price.
