Danny Cipriani joins MK Dons training sessions

Cipriani has already trained with Tottenham, QPR and Colorado Rapids

Former Wasps and England fly-half Danny Cipriani is training with League One football club Milton Keynes Dons in a pursuit of fitness.

The 22-year-old will be heading to Australia next month to join the Melbourne Rebels for the Super 15 season which begins in February.

MK Dons boss Karl Robinson told the club's website: "I met Danny some time ago through a mutual friend.

"He's been working on his fitness with us this week."

He added: "It has been a great opportunity for our players to compare training methods with a world-class athlete and for Danny to vary his own training programme.

"It has been well documented that Danny was a talented footballer when he was younger and he has certainly held his own. His enthusiasm has been terrific."

It is not the first time Cipriani has dabbled with a round ball.

He has also trained with Tottenham, QPR and US side Colorado Rapids this summer.
