Former Bristol coach Hill took over at Sixways in May |
Worcester head coach Richard Hill says that the players left out of the squad for Saturday's win over Birmingham & Solihull are right to be unhappy. The Warriors ran in six tries to record a 48-3 win at Sixways. Hill told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "It has created a hunger to play. The lads on the bench and the lads out of the 22 are not happy. "It has been shock to the system for a few, some of those on the bench would have expected to start." Hill added: "We have to work on our defence. That might seem a bit silly because we kept a clean sheet but that was down to last-ditch tackling. | It was a good start. We can build on it and get better |
"I think the team didn't disagree when I said to them in the huddle afterwards that I thought it was a four-out-of-10 performance. "They admitted they have got some work to do but it was the first time that 15 had been put together. "It was a good start. We can build on it and get better." Former captain Pat Sanderson and several other senior players are set to turn out for the Warriors 'A' side at Leeds, but Hill has said that he does not envisage changing his side for next Saturday's trip to Plymouth. "I don't see many changes, provided they are all fit. I want to keep the continuity," said Hill. "Playing away from home, you have got to have the same attitude and ability to perform. "After a few games, I will look to introduce more players and give them an opportunity too."
