Kench made his debut against Bath last season

Nottingham have signed Sale Sharks second row Ian Kench.

The 23-year-old former England under-18 international, who previously played for Chesterfield, made just three appearances for the Manchester club.

Sale head coach Mike Brewer said: "With the addition of Wame Lewaravu and Nick Rouse it would be unlikely he would see much first team action this season.

"This a good move for him and one that I'm sure will benefit him long term in his career."
