Cornish Pirates started their Championship season with an impressive bonus point win over Doncaster. Returning to the Mennaye Field after a five-year absence, the Pirates stormed into a 20-point lead at the break. First-half tries from Phil Burgess, Gavin Cattle and Kyle Marriott put the Pirates in firm control of the match. Two tries from Matty Williams after the break gave Doncaster renewed hope, before a solo effort from Jonny Bentley secured the points for Pirates.
