Mike Ruddock is to help out at Malvern while weighing up his job options

The former Wales Grand Slam-winning coach and Worcester director of rugby Mike Ruddock is to help out Malvern with their pre-season programme.

Malvern's new director of rugby Andy Longley says they are delighted to have such experience available to them.

"Mike is internationally respected and has visited us for a one-off session previously," he said.

"To get him for the whole preparatory period is a tremendous honour as well as a boost to the whole club."

Malvern have also strengthened their coaching set up by bringing in the former Leicester Tigers and Bristol centre Adam Billig as their new player-backs coach.

Billig, who can also play at half-back, played for England at age group levels to Under-21 and two seasons ago was in the successful England Counties XV.
