Delaney happy with Nottingham stability

Nottingham's director of rugby Glenn Delaney says he is confident his side can pull off a surprise by winning the Championship play-offs this year.

The Green and Whites ended the season in 5th place and face Exeter on Sunday in their first play-off match.

Delaney told BBC East Midlands Today: "I think there's every chance and we've been around the top four all season.

"We've had some very close games with Exeter so it's an opportunity to put a score right this weekend."

The club was recently put up for sale after years of financial instability but they recently signed a seven-year contract to keep playing their home games at Meadow Lane and Delaney believes that has been a big help.

"It's getting stronger day by day and the relationship with the guys at Meadow Lane is going to be the bedrock that the club is built on, and I feel more confident about the business," he added.
