Worthing manager Dave Hinchcliffe says his team are on course to meet their pre-season targets. The Sussex side are almost halfway through their debut National Two South season and lie 10th in the table after aiming for a top-half finish. Hinchcliffe told BBC Sussex: "We targeted that we'd like to be in the upper 20s in terms of points. "If we get something from [Shelford at home] we can be on 29 or even 30 points if we can pick up the bonus." He added: "We've got the bottom six teams all at home in the second half of the season which obviously gives us a good run and we're targeting to be in the top half of the table." Hinchcliffe is pleased with his side's home record so far and is realistic about the challenges that lie ahead. "We've lost to only two sides who are second and third in the league at home. Everyone else that's come to Roundstone Lane has gone home empty handed." "We would certainly like to go up to National Two, that's our aim. "We need to establish ourselves at this level. "This year we're looking for a strong finish, next year we want to consolidate that and then possibly push the year after and look for promotion," Hinchcliffe added.
