A late try from prop Chris Budgen secured Exeter Chiefs a narrow victory over Doncaster. Two penalties from Gareth Steenson and a Matt Cornwell drop-goal gave the Chiefs a 9-3 lead at half time. After the break, Doncaster hit back through a Stephen McColl penalty and a drop-goal from Ali Warnock to pull the scores level at 9-9. But with five minutes left, Budgen broke free of a rolling maul to score the game's only try and secure the win. The result extends the league leaders' unbeaten run in the Championship to 12 games.
