Plymouth Albion slipped to a narrow home defeat in their opening British & Irish Cup match at home to Leinster A. With the scores tied at 13-13 midway through the second period, Shaun Berne kicked his third penalty of the game to give Leinster the win. Albion had opened up a 10-6 lead in the first-half after Liam Gibson went in for a converted try. Leinster then fought back with a converted Michael Keating try, after which Albion never regained the lead.
