Rachel Beckley makes another darting run through the Eccles defence |
Vagabonds Ladies moved eight points clear at the top of National Challenge North One on Saturday after a 55-0 win against Eccles at Glencrutchery road. The Manx side dominated the contest, which was played as a 12-a-side game due to Eccles lack of players. Vagabonds coach Darrin Cook said: "It was a solid performance with some outstanding tries." Cook's team will now travel to face Liverpool Collegiate Ladies on Saturday for their next fixture. The Isle of Man side have won all four of their games after gaining promotion to the division in their inaugural season last year. A minute silence was observed for Vagabonds legend Dave Watterson.
