Vagabonds poor run of results in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division One continued on Saturday when they were beaten 6-5 at home to Wigan.

The result leaves the Manx side 12th in the division after just two victories from nine fixtures this season.

Meanwhile, Douglas lost 42-19 away to fellow mid-table side Southport in Division Two.

However, Ramsey continued their impressive form in Division Three with a 56-0 win at home to Helsby.

The result means the northerners still sit proudly at the top of the table.

There is now a distinct possibility of all three Manx sides playing in the same division next season.

Elsewhere, there were wins for Vagabonds B, Douglas B and Southern Nomads in the Shimmin Wilson Manx Shield.

Nomads and Douglas B are now level at the top on 14 points.
