Vagabonds missed another opportunity to climb the South Lancashire/Cheshire Division One table on Saturday, losing 30-13 at Warrington. The Manx side's flight was delayed for three hours meaning that they had little time to warm-up for the bottom-of-the-table clash. Vagabonds captain Kevin Birchall said: "We let ourselves down with silly mistakes and they punished us. Leigh Kennaugh and Ian Moseley scored the Manx side's tries. Vagabonds will now face Wigan at home on Saturday in what looks like a must-win game. Birchall added: "We'll have a very strong side out against Wigan and we are under no illusion how important the game is." Meanwhile, Douglas were beaten 15-14 by Orrell Anvils in Division Two. Elsewhere, Vagabonds B beat Emerging Nomads 27-12 in the Shimmin Wilson Shield.
