An under-strength Vagabonds side suffered a disappointing 33-21 defeat at Glossop in South Lancs/Cheshire Division One on Saturday. Vagas trailed 14-7 at half-time, with a Tom Gascoyne try converted by Tom Chamberlain keeping them in the game. But although second-half scores through a Leigh Kennaugh try and a penalty try, both converted by Chamberlain, gave Vagabonds hope, it was not enough. Meanwhile, Douglas were beaten 27-20 at home by Oldershaw in Division Two. And Ramsey's fine start to the season continued as they won away at Congleton 39-10 to lead Division Three.
