 Delaney's seven-game winning streak is over |
Nottingham director of rugby Glenn Delaney has demanded an improvement from his side following their shock defeat by Plymouth on Saturday. The Green and Whites stumbled to only their second loss of the season, going down 31-25 away from home. "We didn't apply ourselves and made individual errors," he said. "That's as bad as I've seen us play for a long time. We got what we deserved. "We had a chance at the end to nick it but our execution was very poor." Nottingham are next in action against league leaders Exeter Chiefs at Welford Road and Delaney insisted a better performance was essential. He said: "It's a tough one against Exeter and if we play like that again we won't be good enough. We have to work hard and make sure we improve on Saturday." The Plymouth match also saw Delaney's growing injury list worsen. Backs David Jackson, Rohaan Nirmalendran and Ben Johnston all left the field and are unlikely to feature in this weekend's table-topping clash.
