Notts County director of football Sven-Goran Eriksson is hoping to persuade Italian giants Juventus to play a friendly at Meadow Lane next year.
The former England manager will fly to Turin to invite the Serie A side to take part in centenary celebrations for the League Two side's ground.
Fans learned of the move at a question-and-answer session on Monday evening.
The history between the two sides goes back 106 years to when Juventus changed their kit to copy the colours of Notts.
During his career, Eriksson has managed Italian clubs Roma, Fiorentina, Sampdoria and Lazio, winning the Coppa Italia four times and Serie A once.
