Esher director of rugby Mike Schmid was pleased his side secured their eighth consecutive win but they should have performed better in the second half.
The Surrey side, who have an eight-point lead at the top of National One, beat Blackheath 39-18 at the weekend.
Schmid told BBC Surrey: "I thought we were pretty spot on in the first half.
"Second half, within about five minutes took a very good passage of play and scored a fantastic try and then kind of went to sleep a little bit."
He added: "We let the referee get to us, the game kind of got spoiled a little bit and we got frustrated and tried to force it. We got just a little too sloppy for my liking."
Schmid admits it is pleasing to see his squad continue to rack up victories despite being rotated.
"It's exceptionally pleasing," he added. "We knew from the injuries we've had over the last few years, we'd need a strong squad if we're going to compete to win this league.
"I think last year, if we were in the injury problems we were in, we would really be scraping the barrel whereas this year we're bringing quality guys into the side.
"Our second team and the boys underneath are really really playing very well, they're undefeated.
"We've got some really good experience and youth coming through to make sure that we do get depth and quality because if you're going to win the league you're going to need 35-40 players to take you through and Ithink we've got that."
