Redruth piled further misery on National One whipping boys Manchester on Saturday with another comprehensive defeat of the North West club. The Reds ran in 15 tries at the Recreation Ground, with five players crossing the line twice. Lewis Vinnicombe [2], Nathan Pedley [2], Nick Simmons and Paul Thirlby were all amongst the Reds scorers. Manchester did manage to cross the line through winger Cergjo McCabe for a consolation try.
Redruth's head coach Nigel Hambly told BBC Radio Cornwall: "I don't say it very often but I'm almost glad Manchester scored, just for their guts and their character. "You don't like to see anyone struggling and the way their guys came out and played today was tremendous. "If you speak to Manchester they don't want you to feel sorry for them, the best we can do is wish them well and hope they finish the season."
