Norton has scored four tries in his first three Championship games |
A dominant first-half performance from Bristol saw them maintain their 100% record in the Championship with a convincing win over Rotherham Titans. The home side ran in six tries in total, five of them in the first half as they led 29-3 at the break at the Memorial Stadium. Try-scorers for Bristol were Dan Norton (2), Matt Turner, Junior Fatiolofa, James Merriman and Dan Montagu. Bristol are now top of the league with Bedford who they play this weekend. "We were pleased with a lot of the aspects of the first-half," head coach Paul Hull told BBC Radio Bristol. "We looked clinical at times, had good field position, played with width and good dynamism. "We talked about coming out in the second-half and raising it but we didn't get good field position and ended up having to defend the majority of the half.
