Coventry have announced loose-head prop Dai Maddocks is returning to the Butts Park Arena ahead of the new Championship campaign.

Personal reasons were cited when the 26-year-old was released by the club in December of last year, midway through his second season.

"The squad and coaching team look strong so I'm confident that we'll do well in the new league," he said.

"I'm proud to be part of it and ready to get stuck in again."
