Waterhouse completes Albion move

Plymouth Albion

Forward James Waterhouse has become Plymouth Albion's second signing of the close season after moving from recently relegated side Esher.

Waterhouse played in all three back-row positions for the Surrey club, as well as appearing in the second-row.

The 23-year-old has also played for Rotherham alongside Albion full-back Geoff Griffiths.

Waterhouse follows former Exeter Chiefs full-back Gary Kingdom, who signed on Wednesday, to Brickfields.

Albion's chairman of rugby Graham Dawe told BBC Sport that he believes Waterhouse will bring a wide range of strengths to the squad.

Dawe said: "James has good rugby ability, enthusiasm and is a very good lineout forward as well as a strong ball carrier.

"His versatility is what attracted us to him, in that he can play at numerous positions in the pack."
