Coventry have continued their transfer activity by drafting in two overseas players for next season. International Samoan centre Paletuatoa Toelupe heads for the Butts Park Arena along with Frenchman Romain Plantey. Toelupe has represented his country four times in 2008 including a tough Test against New Zealand. Plantey joins from French side Union Bordeaux Begles and the winger has previously played for his country at age group level. Coventry director Phil Maynard said: "Paletuatoa will bring both physicality and skill to the middle of the field. "He has made an international appearance against the All Blacks and I can see him becoming a favourite at Butts Park next season. "Romain is our first French signing and from the evidence I've seen, he's a powerful and aggressive player who's not afraid to get involved." The pair join established players like Ben Russell and Kurt Johnson along with fellow summer signings Scott Roberts and Kevin Davis in the Coventry squad ahead of the new professional 12-team Championship season.
